ASU Registered Nurse (Per Diem)

We are looking for a Per Diem Registered Nurse for our 16-bed Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence, RI.

The ASU delivers trauma-informed, client-centered, quality care to adults in crisis, and to those seeking recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.

The unit's nurses are responsible for:

  • Assessing, monitoring, and documenting the psychiatric and medical needs of clients, and consulting with providers as needed

  • Providing crisis intervention, milieu management, and health education as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team

  • Administering medications

  • Reviewing referrals

  • Conducting assessments

  • Reconciling and ordering medications

No restraints are utilized as the facility is voluntary.

We are seeking individuals who value learning and growth and who work well in an interdisciplinary, highly team-oriented setting. At the ASU, we value training, supervision, and collaboration, and we are looking for RNs who promote these values. This position involves a high degree of client interaction: people skills and good bedside manner are a must.
