We are hiring a full-time, hourly Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) at our Durham, NC location.
This leadership role is designed to develop future Bakery Operations Managers by enabling candidates to operate at near-BOM level, ensuring bakery operations are executed with urgency, accuracy, and accountability. The ABOM blends hands-on operational tasks with talent development, administrative duties, and team leadership, acting as an extension of the BOM and stepping into full bakery ownership when needed.
Key responsibilities include managing inventory, scheduling, staffing, maintaining quality and safety standards, supporting recruiting and training, coaching team members, and managing bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM.
Success is demonstrated by fully staffed, high-standard bakery operations, strong accountability culture, and readiness for upward growth.
Qualifications include at least 1 year of leadership experience in fast-paced environments, operational discipline, coaching skills, and strong communication.
