The Assistant Sous Chef supports daily kitchen operations, assisting the Executive and Sous Chefs in delivering high-quality food and maintaining safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in planning, organizing, and supervising food prep across all outlets, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and portions.
- Stepping in for the Sous Chef as needed, supervising staff, and delegating tasks.
- Maintaining culinary standards, monitoring food freshness, and ensuring proper storage.
- Enforcing food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Training, mentoring, and motivating team members, managing schedules, and supporting performance reviews.
- Assisting with inventory management, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
Qualifications include culinary certification or equivalent experience, leadership skills, knowledge of safety standards, and the ability to work under pressure. The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and organizational skills.
