Position Summary
The Assistant Banquet Chef works closely with the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to oversee banquet food production, execution, preparation, and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, team-oriented, and capable of performing in a fast-paced private club environment while maintaining high culinary standards.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and execution of banquet and event menus
• Support culinary operations for weddings, tournaments, member events, holiday buffets, and club functions
• Ensure quality, consistency, presentation, and proper timing of all banquet food production
• Supervise and assist banquet culinary staff during prep and service
• Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout banquet kitchen operations
• Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and event planning
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product rotation
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
• Support daily production needs across club dining operations when necessary
• Foster a positive and professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability
-• 2+ years of culinary leadership or banquet kitchen experience preferred
• Private club, hotel, resort, catering, or upscale banquet experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of banquet production and large-scale event execution
• Ability to lead by example in a high-energy kitchen environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and club events
• Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement
• Culinary degree or formal culinary training is a plus
