Touchstone Communities® began as Care Inn Properties, Inc., formed in 1991 by Touchstone CEO Stan Studer, Jr. With a background in real estate and management of skilled nursing facilities, Studer and partners sought out communities that would benefit from their mission of offering skilled nursing in a compassionate environment. The first community Care Inn Properties, Inc. acquired was Brenham Rest Home in 1994. Since then, the company has grown throughout Texas.

Touchstone Communities® offers a continuum of care for elders that include rehabilitative services, skilled nursing, assisted living, as well as specialized care for persons with Alzheimer's disease or needing respite or behavioral care. To better service its residents, all of Touchstone’s communities operate on an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, which lessens the amount of time nurses spend on paperwork and creates more time for them to care for residents. The system is efficient and allows for nurses to provide more care directly at the residents’ bedside.

401K We will match your 401(k) deferral as follows: 100% of the first 1% of your salary deferred and 50% of the next 5% of your salary deferred. If you have maxed out your deferral at 6% of your salary, the Company match totals 3.5%. Touchstone Chaplains Each Touchstone community is assigned a team of male, female, ethnically diverse chaplains who visit the work site regularly, and are available for crisis care, any needed help and confidential discussions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year nationwide. Local chaplain teams are specifically selected and trained to serve both team members and their families. Services range from confidential pastoral discussions to weddings, hospital visits, and funerals. Health Insurance At Touchstone Communities™, we provide the option for medical and dental insurance for full-time team members who have completed 90-days of employment. Educational Assistance Program We encourage team members to attend job-related educational programs. Team members who wish to enroll in courses of study that are related to the team member’s current position or will enhance the team member’s potential for promotion may apply for educational assistance after one year of employment. Touchstone Communities™ will reimburse “reasonable” costs for required continuing education for regular full-time team members who have been employed at least 6 months and whose specific job requires a license or certification.
