Where We Work
Sunrise and its subsidiaries currently operate communities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with a combined unit capacity of more than 31,000 units. Sunrise offers a full range of personalized senior living services, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss, as well as Nursing and Rehabilitative services.
Since the first Sunrise community opened in 1981, the Sunrise operating philosophy has been to provide services and care to seniors following Sunrise’s Principles of Service: encouraging independence, enabling freedom of choice, preserving dignity, celebrating individuality, nurturing the spirit and involving family and friends. Assisted Living: For seniors who have no need for complex medical supervision or 24-hour supervised care, yet can no longer live alone. This is how we define assisted living: Sunrise Senior Living Assisted Living is the ideal solution for seniors who value their independence, yet need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. We focus on individual wellness, and encourage continued independence with a tailored plan of assistance provided by well-trained team members available 24 hours a day.
Alzheimers & Memory Care: Memory care neighborhoods are specially designed, safe and stimulating environment to care for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other forms of memory loss.
Independent Living: On-call assistance with a maintenance-free, service-rich enivronment.
Skilled Nursing: Skilled nurses provide on-site, quality clinical care.
Short-term Stays: Temporary care option offered to families who care for elderly loved ones; also an option for seniors needing extra assistance after a hospital visit, or during an illness.
