Since the first edition of the Statesman Journal's predecessors rolled off the press more than 150 years ago, our mission has remained the same: to be the mid-Willamette Valley's primary source for local news and advertising information.

The Statesman Journal is the largest news-gathering organization in the mid-Willamette Valley, focused solely on keeping readers informed about the events and people in their communities. Plus, our local news Web site keeps you informed on breaking news as it happens, 24 hours a day.

Statesman Journal Diversity Statement

Medical Coverage
Full-time employees share the cost of medical coverage through three different plans, including dental, vision and hearing. Part-time employees working 20-30 hours per week can enroll in two different plans (without dental, vision, or hearing) at their own expense.

The Company bears the full cost of this benefit. It is vested after five years of eligible service.

401(k) Savings Plan
Contribute from 1% to 15% of pre-tax income by payroll deduction. For every dollar you save up to 6% of your pay, Gannett will match 50% in the form of Gannett Stock.

Gannett Spending Account (GSA)
Full-time employees can save money using pre-tax dollars to pay health care expenses not covered by an insurance plan or pay dependent care expenses.

Tuition Assistance
Regular, full-time employees can receive reimbursement for approved courses.

Term Life Insurance
Coverage is provided at no cost to the employee. Supplemental coverage is provided at low group rates.

Stock Purchase Plan
Elect an amount to be deducted from your pay each month to purchase Gannett common stock.
