Non-profit Social Services Healthcare - Health Services Not for Profit - Charitable 2,500 - 5,000 Employees 64 Active Jobs

RHA Health Services provides a broad range of person-centered, integrated, and high-quality supports and services.  RHA focuses on children and adults living with mental health and substance abuse challenges, as well as those living with intellectual & developmental disabilities. The people we serve and support are at the very heart center of everything we do.

Founded in 1987, RHA began as a small collection of group homes in North Carolina developed to offer support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Over the years, RHA Health Services has expanded to include supported living, vocational and day programs, periodic respite, personal care services, targeted case management, residential ICF/IDD for infants and children up to age 15 who have acute or chronic health problems requiring 24/7 therapeutic intervention and skilled nursing care, and much more.

In 2006, RHA began offering behavioral health services and is now the leading provider of high-quality supports and services for people with all kinds of behavioral health needs, serving over 80,000 people annually.  By meeting the behavioral health needs of our consumers, we can greatly reduce or eliminate the fragmentation of services that leaves some individuals without total, holistic, truly person-centered care.

RHA is a growing company, with the goal of growing operations in our current communities, as well as the greater Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.

RHA has an organizational commitment to the dignity, independence, and equitable treatment of people, as well as their full inclusion into the communities around them.  We provide a holistic, person-centered approach to care guided by a system of values that puts the needs of the people we support at the center of every decision.

RHA Health Services, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit corporation that was chartered in 1991 in North Carolina. The company is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. RHA has supported people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for roughly twenty years through a variety of residential and periodic services. Currently, RHA serves over 1,000 individuals in North Carolina, and employs over 2,000 trained staff. The services we provide encompasses the efforts of many disciplines, including habilitation, nursing, medical, psychiatric and behavioral, social work and case management, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, vocational training and community integration.
We have well developed and documented screening and training methodologies to ensure that the skills of our employees are maintained and enhanced. We support people who have a broad range of skills and abilities as well as needs. Many individuals that we support have two or more disabilities, as well as chronic illnesses such as diabetes and osteoporosis. This intensity and mix of disability and health issues have required the development of significant skills and sophistication in both the delivery and oversight of services.
Our experience has also given us the skill to successfully confront the challenge of integrating the efforts of multiple disciplines and provider staff, and the desires of the family and the individual. We strive to use all of this energy and knowledge to find the most effective therapeutic and training opportunities, while still protecting the individual's rights and their right to choice, and to maximize the opportunity for a consumer driven service. We developed a significant number of residential and other community based opportunities for the former Thomas S. (MR/MI) class individuals, working closely with area programs and the families and individuals themselves. We have also developed services in collaboration with the Area Authorities/Local Management Entities/MCOs to support people with severe and persistent mental illness and substance abuse treatment needs.
