Private Consumer Products 4 Active Jobs

Merry Maids was founded in 1979 in Omaha, Neb., by Dallen Peterson. Dallen worked with his wife, Glennis; their children; and his twin brother Dale to create the Merry Maids system and franchise the company. In 1988, ServiceMaster purchased Merry Maids from the Petersons. All of the ServiceMaster companies specialize in home services, so Merry Maids has been a natural fit for ServiceMaster from the beginning. Some of our sister companies in our Family of Brands include Terminix, ServiceMaster Clean, American Home Shield, AmeriSpec, and FurnitureMedic. The Merry Maids view of family and values also aligned with ServiceMaster's corporate objectives. Click to see more! We honor God in all that we do, excel with customers, help people develop and grow profitably. Merry Maids operates franchise and company owned operations nationwide. ServiceMaster has opened 78 Merry Maids branches throughout the United States since acquiring Merry Maids. As Merry Maids has grown, our core values remain the heart of what we do and who we are. As an example, many of the franchise owners who purchased territories in the early years have included their children in their businesses, and continue to work themselves. Merry Maids also encourages career growth. Several branch managers began their careers as team members.

Five Simple Ways to Unclutter Your Life
As each new year presents a fresh, clean slate, clearing the clutter typically makes the top 10 lists of our most popular resolutions. Yet some of our seemingly colossal projects can mean procrastination and little follow-through. Here are a few tips from the experts at Merry Maids on how to sort through the mess with ease!

Take charge by prioritizing your tasks with a checklist. Start with the most important jobs first - those that appear the most disorganized. Then take on smaller ones, step by step.
Be realistic. Organize and categorize in a way that caters to your personal habits and work styles. Are you going to buck the system a month from now, or is this really going to help you stay organized?
Clear out items that do not belong in the room. Get two plastic bags - one for items to discard and another for items to donate. At least place questionable items in a box to consider discarding later. If you can't remember the last time you used it, chances are, you don't need it anymore. Let it go.
Fill the most convenient shelves or areas with items you use frequently. Store aside seasonal items you are not currently using. Clearly mark boxes if it's not immediately obvious what they are.
Make an appointment on your calendar to go through your home or office once a week and discard useless items. By doing so, you prevent clutter build-up and your space remains tidy.
So take a deep breath! Begin using these five essential tips to organizing your surroundings, and start enjoying a clutter-free household.
