ABOUT THE AREA

Located in the heart of the Daniel Boone Forest, the city of Manchester, also referred to as the City of Hope, is settled in the hills of the Appalachian mountains, and is surrounded by beautiful forests, parks and wildlife. Rich with the Appalachian history and culture, Manchester is the gateway to the Elk and Redbud capitals of Kentucky and is the land of the swinging bridges.
