Web Developer

Create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. Work from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals. May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.

Enhance user experience, improve ease of use, and solve end-user’s problems by combining interfaces and workflows using various approaches to optimize and measure applications. Understand user psychology and product specifications, Develop concept and usability testing and personas. Define the interaction model and measuring its success. Develop wireframes and tailored customer prototypes. Solve any UX problems that arise. You will also work closely with the UI designer to develop designs and communicate design ideas/prototypes to developers.

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Practical coding experience in HTML and CSS is required. Experience in using web development technologies (Angular, React) is preferred. Must have a developed aesthetic sense with an eye for detail. Some experience of working in web development is required. The ability to work in a team as part of a sprint is a plus. Ability to implement a web UI. Knowledge of unit testing, code reviews, and user documentation is preferred. Assist in technical design, implementation, and maintenance of web applications. Basic working knowledge of databases is required.

Strong web service and UI skills are needed. Coding experience in C#,.NET, MVC, SQL is required. Experience of working in a TDD(Test-driven development) environment Integration skills using ETL tools is required. Understand, interpret and use technical and user documentation to extend, maintain or update current project features as well as documentation. Work with front-end team to make the most functional implementation of user-required features. Create RESTful APIS and similar. Provide code review for peer’s code. Solid understanding of API use for microservice applications. Appreciation of API design and versioning norms. Experience in building for scale and performance is preferred. Report daily updates in an agile working environment and in-unit testing frameworks.
