Post-Anesthesia Care unit (PACU) Nurse

Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration required.

A full-time nurse is required for on-site support of company staff. Must be a registered nurse from an accredited school of nursing and retain the accreditation throughout employment. Required to provide first aid for any minor injury cases and escalate if the case is too serious to handle on-site. Counsel and assist the patient family as well as patient to create a safe and therapeutic environment. Work with a recovery-focused attitude. Assist patients to understand their treatment plans and follow up when needed to check if they are following the plan. Provide administrative support to the medical doctors and consultants related to patient care. Provide help support and ensure that all sanitary guidelines are met to provide a clean and sanitary environment on the entire premises.

Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, group homes, and similar institutions. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Licensing required.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience of surgery, trauma, Intensive care Unit (ICU), or critical dare is required. Willing to get more licenses/certifications to meet the departments' requirements. Manage bed allocation based on the medical status of patients as critical or non-critical. May need to man the support desk for the ICU occasionally. Maintain documentation of all cases as per hospital standards. Assess and respond to any time-sensitive issues as a critical caregiver while monitoring patient vitals. Adhere to all legal regulations concerning the rights of the patients and their families. Follow all departmental guidelines and procedures.

Responsible for coordination/management of patient’s care and evaluating services needed for patients. Manages patient case files, collaborates with medical service providers, and interacts with families to help with complex medical decisions.

Lead operations of the nursing department as well as oversee the respective nursing staff. Supervise care delivery systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and/or Care Unit Manager to meet both facility and patient-care goals. Develop and uphold established nursing processes and procedures. Supervise distribution of medication, treatment, and therapies to safeguard quality control and adherence to local and state regulations. Budgeting and meeting management skills are also required.

Primary functions include assessing and addressing acute patient needs in an emergency room or urgent care clinic by performing critical assistance during emergency medical procedures. Duties can include monitoring patient vitals, cleaning/dressing wounds and wound care, inserting intravenous lines, administering medications and blood draws. Responsible for aiding and assisting physicians and other medical personnel during emergency medical procedures. Communicate and convey patient treatment plans and post-operative recovery expectations. Oversee patient general welfare for health and hygiene including but not limited to feeding, bathing and toileting activities.

Use administrative, leadership, and nursing and skills to manage a team of nurses and provide quality patient care. Duties include coordinating with other healthcare professionals; ensuring effective documentation and security of patient records; evaluating staff performance; hiring, scheduling, and training nursing staff; providing hands-on patient care; and resolving complaints. May require interacting with family members and insurance companies.
