Clinical Nurse Consultant

Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration required.

Provide high-level strategic decision-making and advice for updating curriculum, equipment, and infrastructure for the nursing division. Lead the design and implementation of processes and policies to ensure a therapeutic environment for patients. At least 2 years of experience in a management role of a nursing department is required. Must possess a license as a registered nurse from an accredited institute. Evaluate staff performance and assist in forecasting budgets. Perform audits of nursing standards of care. Ensure that the rights of patients and families are protected in all cases and work to escalate any issues hampering the quality of care on an urgent basis. Knowledge of infection control, nursing management, counseling is required. The ability to mentor team members is essential.

A full-time nurse is required for on-site support of company staff. Must be a registered nurse from an accredited school of nursing and retain the accreditation throughout employment. Required to provide first aid for any minor injury cases and escalate if the case is too serious to handle on-site. Counsel and assist the patient family as well as patient to create a safe and therapeutic environment. Work with a recovery-focused attitude. Assist patients to understand their treatment plans and follow up when needed to check if they are following the plan. Provide administrative support to the medical doctors and consultants related to patient care. Provide help support and ensure that all sanitary guidelines are met to provide a clean and sanitary environment on the entire premises.

Responsible for coordination/management of patient’s care and evaluating services needed for patients. Manages patient case files, collaborates with medical service providers, and interacts with families to help with complex medical decisions.

Use administrative, leadership, and nursing and skills to manage a team of nurses and provide quality patient care. Duties include coordinating with other healthcare professionals; ensuring effective documentation and security of patient records; evaluating staff performance; hiring, scheduling, and training nursing staff; providing hands-on patient care; and resolving complaints. May require interacting with family members and insurance companies.

Lead operations of the nursing department as well as oversee the respective nursing staff. Supervise care delivery systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and/or Care Unit Manager to meet both facility and patient-care goals. Develop and uphold established nursing processes and procedures. Supervise distribution of medication, treatment, and therapies to safeguard quality control and adherence to local and state regulations. Budgeting and meeting management skills are also required.

Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of a social service program or community outreach organization. Oversee the program or organization's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing social workers, counselors, or probation officers.

Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, group homes, and similar institutions. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Licensing required.
