Accounts Receivable Representative

Interact with customers to provide basic or scripted information in response to routine inquiries about products and services. May handle and resolve general complaints. Excludes individuals whose duties are primarily installation, sales, repair, and technical support.

Perform routine administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers.

Plan, direct, or coordinate one or more administrative services of an organization, such as records and information management, mail distribution, and other office support services.

Apply time management and organizational skills to handle payable invoices and update general ledger. Typically requires data entry, expense report processing, and document storage. May require audit process support, bank and credit card statement reconciliation, and resolution of account issues with internal and external parties.

This role works in the accounts and finance departments and deals with accounts receivable. Experience of working in accounts receivable is preferred. Basic working knowledge of accounting software is needed. Process all claims to ensure they are complete and sufficient as per company policies. Work to process the correct claims and add comments on incomplete/incorrect claims based on company policies. Maintain a strong follow-up on all claims within the billing process cycle time and reply to any queries. Coordinate with management and keep them up-to-date on major claims. Accounting and reconciliation of all processed claims into the relevant account.

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.

Interact with customers, business executives, and stakeholders while managing and preparing sales reports. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and assisting customers with their needs.

Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or personal visit to solicit payment. Duties include receiving payment and posting amount to customer's account, preparing statements to credit department if customer fails to respond, initiating repossession proceedings or service disconnection, and keeping records of collection and status of accounts.
