‘What I’m thankful for about my career’
Thanksgiving is this Thursday! Here's what some of our readers are most thankful for about their careers.
Thanksgiving is this Thursday! While most of us are gearing up for a day filled with turkey, stuffing, football and food comas, it’s important to take some time to reflect on what we’re most thankful for this year. And that includes our jobs.
With that in mind, we posed the question on social media, "What are you most thankful for about your career?" Here's a roundup of answers we received:
“To have built my dreams with amazing clients centered around doing what I love on my own with amazing, talented individuals helping in areas where they thrive as well. Digital marketing web design and brand design isn’t easy. The support and encouragement from friends and the two most important men in my life is absolutely amazing as well.”—Misty Burrell
“I get to work from home and make my Clients Happy!!”—Znover Jones
“My assistant manager who believes in me and supports me in everything I do. I wouldn't be who I am today without her guidance.”—Amy Cooper
“For the opportunities and for the people that I've met.”—Sun Min Joy Lotterie
“Continued opportunity to do new and challenging work. My job is never boring.”—Mary Hels-Jager
Hard work paying off
“That it took me two years to get a job in the career I have my degrees in. Just got it this week. That’s my early Thanksgiving gift.”—Teresa Frazier
“Just to have one.”—Robert Morgan
“Paid time off.”—Shelby Steele
“Retirement after 38 years. And receiving a good pension.”—Jacqueline Seed
Let us know what you’re thankful for.
