Brent Rasmussen
President, North America
Brent Rasmussen is the President of CareerBuilder North America. In his role, Rasmussen oversees the day-to-day operations of both CareerBuilder Canada and CareerBuilder.com, the United States’ largest online job site with more than 23 million unique visitors and over 1.6 million jobs. Rasmussen is the key driver of the ongoing growth of the company’s North American business as well as a constant motivation to CareerBuilder.com’s more than 2,300 North American employees.
Rasmussen is an eight-year veteran of CareerBuilder.com. In his previous roles as COO and Senior Vice President of Sales, Rasmussen was responsible for the sales, customer service and corporate marketing functions of the company. Under his direction, CareerBuilder developed a variety of new products and enhanced its sales channels, which had a direct effect on CareerBuilder becoming the industry leader in five short years.
Pulling from his years of extensive research and experience, Rasmussen is an employment expert who regularly appears on national TV and radio as well as addresses a variety of industry forums to discuss topics such as the state of the job market, hiring practices and a multitude of workplace issues. He also serves as President of CB Cares, an internal group that supports CareerBuilder’s not-for-profit work and is a board member of Donka, a non-profit organization that provides no-cost computer training and job readiness services to persons with physical and visual disabilities.
Prior to joining CareerBuilder.com, Rasmussen served as Manager of Business Services for Xerox Corporation, where he worked for nine years. Rasmussen holds an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
