The Cato Corporation, a leading specialty retailer of value-priced women’s fashion apparel with corporate offices located in Charlotte, North Carolina, operates three concepts: Cato, It’s Fashion and Versona Accessories. Due to continuous growth, Cato is seeking an experienced Fabric Manager. This position will be responsible for the research and development of fabrics, working closely with Design, Sourcing and Overseas Mills and Vendors, driving daily communications with both internal and external business partners to support the execution of the fabric development process; and managing the day to day functions of the fabric library.

Job Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess a developed sense of fashion, the ability to interpret trends and has been part of the creative process.  The right candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized; has strong verbal and written communication skills to work with internal and overseas business partners; and has strong computer skills to include Excel and PTC/Flex (preferred) to input and organize information into a database.  This position requires 3-5yrs experience and strong technical background in textiles, construction, dyeing, finishing, printing etc.  A four-year college degree is preferred.
