SmartSource is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 3 – 6 month contract to hire opportunity located in Cambridge.

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Duration: 3 – 6 months
Location: Cambridge, MA
Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM
Pay Rate: $25/hr

Job Description: SmartSource is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 3-6 Month contract to hire opportunity located in Cambridge MA. The hours will be 8:30AM-5:30PM each day. Must be at least A+ certified and obtain a Lenovo Warranty certification within 60 days of hire with SmartSource. Parking is expensive in the area so please make sure you factor that in before proceeding with the opportunity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end user desktop/laptop issues in a mixed Windows and Mac OS X environment
• 70% Windows/30% MAC
• Backup, image and restore data on desktop/laptop systems
• Provide in and out of warranty hardware support

Qualifications:
• Must pass a criminal and drug background check before starting
• 3 years of experience in IT or a related field with a strong background in operating systems, desktop and hardware support
• 1-2 years MAC background
• CompTIA A+ certification is required for in/out warranty support of Windows based PCs.
• Superior oral and written communications skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize, balance multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure
• Good with documentation and working with ticketing systems
• Not afraid of new challenges
• Must have excellent communication and customer services skills.
