Director of International Sales

Reporting to the President, the Director of International Sales is responsible for the overall sales performance of international accounts. This position plans, directs, and coordinates the international sales of EZ-FLO’s products and services by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

  • Establishes international strategic sales goals to meet corporate objectives and increase market share and profitability of products and services worldwide.
  • Prospects and develops new international accounts.
  • Cultivates existing international accounts.
  • Develops and localizes comprehensive sales plans and programs for international regions, consistent with market demands and long-term profitability.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors of international markets to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
  • Evaluates long-term potential of representation in new international markets, generates bid and proposal strategies, and produces and presents proposals.
  • Supervises startup and training of local sales and product team. Monitors progress and provides ongoing training.
  • Conducts product demonstrations and supervises trade show activities in international locations.
  • Ensures effective control of international sales results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of sales objectives falls within designated budgets.
  • Clarifies goals and direction and assists local teams with customer visits.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with strategic partners.
  • Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of local sales teams to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to sales problems and opportunities.
  • Presents international sales activity reports to executive management.

Minimal background and knowledge requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a similar role – international sales.
  • College degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Must have experience in retail & wholesale B2B industry sales with understanding of hardware and plumbing industry.
  • Must have hardware and plumbing product knowledge
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. PowerPoint beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Able to prospect new accounts. Must have proven track record in developing business.
  • Able to foster customer relationships.
  • Persuasive, outgoing, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Personal qualities: strategic, analytical, creative and motivated.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.


: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment.

  • Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone over 6 hours a day.
  • Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and/or reaching to access job-related materials.
  • Semi-private workspace.


Independent Judgement/Autonomy: General supervision, following well-defined policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for projects or functions.

Interpersonal Responsibility: Interacts primarily with peers/supervisors within own department, and must work cooperatively in work environment. Occasionally interfaces with senior management for information exchange only.
