Job Description

Bayfront Health St Petersburg’s extensive commitment to emergency medicine and critical care includes a 24-hour emergency department, a state-accredited Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center – the most experienced trauma center in Pinellas County - and Bayflite medical helicopters (an internationally recognized air medical flight program serving the west central Florida region). Bayfront’s emergency department annually treats approximately 50,000 patients, with nearly 2,600 of those being critically injured trauma patients. Bayfront's emergency facilities provide specialized areas for the care of women and children, cardiac isolation monitoring, chest pain, stroke, trauma bays and Fast Track for urgent cases. 

Clinical Nurse Specialist

This clinical expert will use leadership skills and clinical expertise throughout the ED, Trauma Intermediate unit and critical care units to perform evidence-based practice, collaboration, consultation, education, mentoring, and change leadership.

Job Requirements

Must have MSN (will consider BSN and currently enrolled in MSN-Education program), current Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, ER Nurse specialty certification and CNS Certification combined with 5 years Trauma ED and/or critical care experience. Must have educator skills, leader skills and Service Excellence skills.
