Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Daily interactions with customers and potential new customers on the phone and in the stores, preparing and presenting estimates of repair, hiring, training and development of new employees, leading and managing employees and implementing company procedures to build strong relationships with customers
  • Promote the shop and its services through exceptional customer interactions and insuring that store is clean and professional in appearance at all times
  • Maintain and promote all relevant sales promotions applicable to the shop and exercise good judgment in expense controls
  • Interview customer and perform initial parking lot inspection documenting customer concerns to enable the Technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
  • Consult with customer on applicable service specials
  • Prioritize required services, and provide options of repair
  • Document declined services and follow-up on future service considerations
  • Keep customer informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
  • Remain involved with delivery of vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns have been addressed

Job Requirements

Automotive Service Manager

  • Strong sales and presentation skills
  • Customer focused with excellent customer service skills 
  • Responsible, dependable and reliable
  • Professional and career oriented 
  • ASE Service Consultant Certification or strong automotive background preferred 
  • Minimum of three years experience  
  • Computer skills 
  • Competent at inspecting and diagnosing vehicles 
  • Experience with building repair orders 
  • Experience with bay management and shop efficiency
  • Self-starter 
  • Demonstrative leadership and managerial skills 
  • Ability to manage sales and profit objectives
