We are looking for a HR Assistant/Benefits Coordinator to coordinate and administer all aspects of the employees’ benefit plans. Expedient and articulate communications with employees, agency representatives, and management staff responding to questions and resolutions of insurance issues as well as facilitating new hire benefits orientations are key responsibilities. To be successful this individual must like doing a variety of Human Resources projects and data entry that require strong attention to detail and computer competency. As part of the Human Resource Department, this coordinator will assist the Vice President of Human Resources with payroll and other related internal personnel issues. Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Education/Training: Bachelors degree in Business or HR Management or related area or equivalent relevant experience.  Computer testing scores of 80% on the basics of Word and Excel. Above average skills in Access and Microsoft Outlook a plus. Employment Law Certification.

 

Experience: Three to five years professional experience in benefits administration with knowledge of COBRA laws, HIPAA Rules and ERISA is required. Customer service, recruiting, or  human resources experience preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate with accuracy, diplomacy and confidence in a time sensitive manner. Ability to design and create reports in all systems. Meticulous attention to detail. Able to multi-task and handle stress in a fast paced environment. Ability to learn the TempWorks System.
