Job Description

Sutherland Lumber Company's corporate office, located near the Plaza, is looking for a full time RPG programmer. Sutherland Lumber Company is a privately held company with a very successful history.  Established prior to 1920, the company owns and operates retail home improvement stores and other businesses in the Midwest.  Sutherland's offers a challenging and rewarding career.  This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. 

This position will be working in our small, yet fast paced  IT environment.  The position will involve working on a wide range of applications.

Job Requirements

- 5+ years of programming experience
- RPG IV/ILE experience
- DDS Display/Subfile development
- PDM (Green Screen) development environment
- Experience with RPG Program-Cycle (for maintenance purposes)
- Experience with Structured and Free-Format development
- Modules and Binding
- Control Language (CL)
- Service Programs
- V5R3/R4 experience
- Responsible and reliable
- Team player
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Positive and professional attitude
- Good verbal communication skills

Desired skills, but not required:
- Embedded SQL
- Experience with Web browser based development
- Experience with iSeries (AS/400) hardware
- Experience with iSeries (AS/400) software support
- Experience with Visual Basic and .Net
- Experience with Windows and Linux
