Mining Safety Trainer

Job Description

SAFETY TRAINER: SALT LAKE CITY AREA.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in safety, health, occupational health, science, or related field required.

  • 3+ years of Safety and Health Training in the manufacturing, industrial, or mining environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Completion of 30 hours OSHA safety training for Industry

  • Experience in tracking effectiveness of training by implementation of metrics within all levels of the operation.

  • Knowledge, experience, passion in the identification of safety risks such as LO/TO, confined spaces, working at heights, moving equipment, cranes, rail safety and ergonomics.

  • Comfortable with current OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910 and 1926)

  • Experience in developing a training needs analysis.

  • Familiar with conducting risk assessments and job hazard analysis (JHAs)

  • Demonstrated competency in working with EHS software to track training needs and refreshers (i.e. Medgate, Intelex, 3E)

  • Safety and Health Certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)).
