Job Description


General Description:
 Position is primarily responsible for answering escalated claim adjustment requests and resolving issues received through transferred provider phone calls, customer service management and miscellaneous special project work.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses numerous computer work station application to supply “live" responses to customers’ needs
  • Assist in resolving serious customer complaints and escalated calls
  • Manages all issues to completion or refer outstanding customer queries to appropriate point of contact
  • Maintains up-to-date level of product and procedural knowledge by being attentive to and acting upon information advised in email updates, team meetings, trainings and other briefings
  • Helps maintain a good team and working environment by assisting fellow employees and participating constructively in meetings
  • Indentifies customer service needs of a customer and makes persuasive suggestions and recommendations that match the identified customer needs
  • Undertakes duties of a general nature or additional tasks as may be required from time to time


Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a  criminal background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Articulate speech, clear and well modulated speaking voice
  • Must have excellent  phone skills, customer service skills, analytical and troubleshooting experience
  • Superb listening, probing, negotiation and de-escalation skills needed
  • Must be able to multi-task, handle escalated calls and upset customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Proven contact center performance, able to meet compliance, quality and productivity metrics
  • Must have previous medical claims or health insurance experience
  • Must be detail oriented and able to solve problems efficiently
