Job Description

This is a permanent position, located in Albuquerque.  Our client strongly prefers to hire local.

SUMMARY:

Installs, modifies and makes repairs to enterprise computer hardware and software systems, printers and other equipment. Provide project support for IT systems analysis and solutions development in support of production operations. Provide technical assistance and training to system users by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time.

  • Installs and maintains configurations for software/hardware and peripheral components such as desktop computers, laptops, monitors, modems, phones, printers, print servers, wireless network interface components, wireless access points, network switches, hubs, and routers.

  • Test and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software and operating systems.

  • Gauge effectiveness of existing support IT systems and independently or with IT Manager, develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

  • Provides technical assistance to end users on the Local Area Network and remote users connected to the TPNM Network.

  • Responsible for tape changing duties on the Symantec Net backup server and Library system.

  • Responsible for updating, creating and maintenance of AD object inventory to include users, computers and other objects.

  • Assist with maintenance of the customer facing using Sharepoint and IIS

  • Assistance with door security using Hirsch Velocity door systems software; insuring that door locks are working properly throughout the plant area.

  • Install, monitor, troubleshoot and repair plant information and audio system to include all aspects of cabling, impedance matching, and delivery of music and information to shop floor.

  • Responsible for insuring that all Shop Floor Control Time and Attendance/Production Reporting terminals are operating and information and time stamps are consistent and operational at all times.

  • Responsible for monitoring daily batch processes, resolving errors, or reporting errors to the IT Manager when escalation is required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Windows Operating Systems

  • Windows Server 2003 R2,2008 R2,2012

  • Windows XP, 7

  • MAC OS X 

Application Systems/Platforms

  • Symantec Netbackup

  • SQL Server 2005, 2008

  • Sharepoint 2010/2013

  • Microsoft SCCM experience a plus

            Productivity Applications

  • Microsoft Office 2010,2013

  • Microsoft Visio 2010,2013

  • Microsoft Project 2010,2013 experience a plus

  • Microsoft Frontpage 2003

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X,XI

Development and Scripting

  • .NET fundamentals a plus

  • Windows scripting a plus

Network Technologies

  • Cisco ASA Firewalls a plus

  • Cisco Switching and Routing experience

  • Cisco Prime and WLC a plus

  • Cisco WAP’s experience

  • DHCP, DNS

Additional Technical Skills

  • Intelligence reporting a plus

  • Information systems development processes

  • SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Advanced knowledge of PC maintenance and operation required.

  • Advanced knowledge of productivity applications to include using Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.

  • Intermediate knowledge of portal based web services.

  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting ability for networked systems and software in an enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in Active Directory Users and Computers

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting, maintaining and deploying enterprise computer hardware and software systems. Past experience in a project driven work environment, an Associate degree or higher in a computer science, IT systems, MIS or related field is preferred but is not required. All employees must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret business documents and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and memos. Ability to present information and respond to questions from co-workers and other company personnel.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

COMPTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCDST certifications preferred.

Certificates of training in: Security+, Server+, CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Sharepoint 2010-2013 user training, MCSE/MCITP core courses a plus.
