Job Description

 

As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are currently seeking full-time Patient Care Coordinators to join our team of professionals at our CORE Central Administrative office in our Contact Center department. We are currently in need of full-time staff for our 9AM-6PM; 10AM-7PM and 11AM-8PM shifts.

 

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for answering incoming calls from patients/customers to schedule appointments, answer inquiries and questions, handle concerns, troubleshoot problems and provide information.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Answer calls and respond to emails
  • Utilize templates, scheduling assistant, and referral technologies to schedule patient appointments
  • Handle caller/patient inquiries both telephonically and by email
  • Research required information using available resources
  • Manage and resolve caller/patient concerns
  • Provide caller/patients with provider and service line information
  • Register new patient information into system
  • Update existing patient information
  • Process orders, forms and other medical applications
  • Identify and escalate priority issues
  • Route calls to appropriate resources/departments
  • Follow up customer calls where necessary
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Interaction with clinic and triage staff on a regular basis to ensure that patients are scheduled in a timely manner
  • Attends department meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Required language proficiency
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of call center telephony and technology
  • Some experience in a call center or customer service environment
  • Good data entry and typing skills
  • Knowledge of administration and clerical processes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans


Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Typing WPM 30+
  • Minimum of 1 year Contact Center or Phone Customer Service experience
  • 1 year Medical background preferred
