The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of estimating and pricing activities . Performance will take place in a dynamic environment where responsiveness, attention to detail, analytical skills, and professional ownership are greatly valued. The chosen individual will be comfortable in a Team environment while demonstrating ownership of the required cost estimating processes and timely product delivery. A Cost Price Analyst is needed to conduct supplier cost and price data reviews to establish the reasonableness of cost and pricing. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Finance.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze statistical and proposal data to establish recommended cost and price objectives for proposal and contract transactions with suppliers.
• Conduct audits and analysis of subcontractor or supplier proposals, for single/sole sourced procurements, and cost and pricing requirements per FAR Parts 15 and 31.
• Conduct fact finding at supplier locations as needed to review basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates.
• Participate in negotiations, as needed.
• Establish reasonableness of cost and pricing and provide recommended price positions to support negotiations with customer and suppliers.
• Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management, customer, and supplier representatives as required.
• Using ProPricer software, develop pricing in accordance with Request for Proposal instructions
• Assist technical personnel in the development of credible resource estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
• Contribute to the development of winning business strategies
• Coordinate closely with contracts professionals to develop compliant pricing and cost volume artifacts
• Ensure pricing artifacts are properly stored into company repository
• Perform peer reviews
• Perform additional accountabilities as required


Job Requirements


• Demonstrated understanding of pricing and purchasing theories, concepts and principles; and experience demonstrating a broad application of these concepts.
• Must have solid understanding of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR Part 15) and Cost Accounting Standards, including FAR Part 31.
• Demonstrated experience in cost/price analysis supporting Department of Defense (DOD) programs, and interface with government auditing agencies (DCAA/DCMA).
• Minimum four years experience in government contracts, subcontracts, estimating and pricing, finance, or business administration in a (defense/aerospace) manufacturing environment.
• Experience with government proposals and various contract types (CP, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, GSA)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of finance principles and FAR/CAS/TINA
• Ability to ability to assimilate new skills on a routine basis
• Excellent organization skills with ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and perform detailed oriented work with high precision and quality
• Ensure pricing products meet all Request for Proposal instructions and are compliant with Company policies
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Professional demeanor and effective collaboration skills are essential
• US Citizenship
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in an area emphasizing quantitative analysis, finance, business administration
• Ability to get a Secret clearance preferred for this position.
