We currently have an excellent opportunity available for a Behavior Management Specialist in Santa Rosa!

Job Requirements

Behavior Management Specialist provides a service offered to families with members up to age 21 with a neurological disorder (NBD) and/or serious emotional disturbance (SED). The BMS is the primary interventionist who works with the child, and the child’s parent(s) and/or teachers to carry out the treatment plan. The provider participates in the development and review of the treatment plan, teaches behavior enhancing skills, documents each client contact in accordance with agency policy, develops therapeutic rapport with the child, and forms professional partnerships with the child’s family, school team, and other service providers.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:




  • 21 years of age and HS Diploma or GED.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field and 1 year directly related experience preferred.

  • Valid New Mexico Driver’s License and Current Auto Insurance required.

  • Demonstrates the ability to independently implement and document goals, measurable objectives, interventions, and outcomes as defined in the behavior management plan.
