Aid to Adoption of Special Kids (AASK) is seeking a full-time grant writer who is committed to helping children in foster care. The right candidate will manage this dynamic agency’s existing grants schedule and to develop new relationships and sources of funding. Location is AASK's west side office in Peoria.
• Research, writing and submission of grant proposals, supporting documents (including budgets) and interim reports
• Maintenance and implementation of grants calendar
• Regular communication with funders, acting as organization liaison
• Attending proposal meetings and doing presentations as needed
• Depends on experience

The purpose of Aid to Adoption of Special Kids (AASK) is to ensure that every child has someone who cares. AASK recruits, trains and supports foster, kinship, and adoptive families for children in Arizona's child welfare system, reunites siblings separated by foster care, and provides adult mentors for children in group homes and shelters.
AASK has a multi-step interview and screening process which includes a copy of the candidate’s driving record and verification of college degrees. A successful candidate will be required to complete a drug test and fingerprint clearance application, and must show proof of auto insurance that meets or exceeds coverage minimums.
