Job Description


Cabot House/Thomasville (Saugus, MA), the leading retailer in fine quality home furnishings and interior design, is searching for a highly motivated Furniture Sales Professional that is driven to succeed. Must be a confident and creative individual that understands the importance of relationship selling and knows what it means to work smart and close the sale. We are looking for a passionate interior design consultant that truly comprehends the value of connecting with their customers, understands their needs and gets great satisfaction from assisting others with making their decorating dreams a reality. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

•          CONNECTING with the customer

•          LISTENING TO/UNDERSTANDING the customer’s needs

•          FOLLOW UP and FOLLOW THROUGH with the SALE

•          Performing monthly in-home consultations (must have reliable transportation)

•          Maximizing sales while providing honest, informative and friendly customer service

•          Welcoming customers in a timely, professional and engaging manner

•          Developing furniture needs, create a design plan and close the sale

•          Demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge, detailing features and benefits

•          Achieving established sales goals

•          Proactive client development and retention

•          Processing complete and accurate sales orders

•          Tracking customer orders and related service concerns

•          Assisting with maintaining a clean and organized work environment

•          Assisting with maintaining displays, catalogs, price lists, fabric samples, price tags and supplies

•          Performing other duties as assigned by management

•          Saturday and Sunday hours required - no evenings
