Job Description

Are you an experienced nurse who would love to work office hours?  We are looking for excellent, experienced R.N's and L.P.N's to fill the following positions:

Floor/Triage Nurse - Beavercreek Location (Will float between the floor and triage on a regular basis)   

Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. is dedicated to providing high quality healthcare for infants, children and adolescents in the Dayton area with office locations in Kettering, Beavercreek and North Dayton.

JOB SUMMARY: The floor nurse position is responsible for providing quality care to our pediatric patients.  Duties include rooming and evaluating patients, taking history, performing evaluations such as temperature, height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, and pulse and performing procedures such as giving immunizations and flu shots, venipuncture, splinting, O2 saturation, cathing, suctioning and ear irrigation.  The floor nurse position is also responsible for medical chart documentation, maintaining medical supplies, stocking rooms and using sterilization equipment.


JOB SUMMARY:  The triage nurse position is responsible for telephone triage.  Parent education.  Schedule referrals to other physicians, pre-certification or prior authorization of referrals, medications and medical equipment.  Completes forms, (shot records, work permits, physical forms, daycare forms, etc.) Calls in prescription refills to pharmacy. 

Collaborates with entire staff to ensure highest standard of medical care and customer service.

Hours:  Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Saturday rotation (8:00am – 12:00pm) is required

Job Requirements

**Because we are a pediatric office, to be considered for this position you must be competent and very comfortable giving immunizations and other injections to infants and children on a daily basis.**


  • Must possess a current Ohio nursing license (RN, LPN)
  • Pediatric, medical office or hospital experience of 5+ years preferred
  • Must possess a solid understanding of pediatric disease processes and knowledge of normal pediatric growth and development    
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills are mandatory
  • Must have sound decision-making skills  
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and a good role model 
  • Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality care and efficient patient flow
  • Must have ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment
  • Must have current CPR certification
  • Communication and problem solving skills necessary
  • Basic computer skills
  • Requires extensive standing, bending, and lifting.


  • Must be able to travel to all Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. offices when needed for coverage.  This includes the North Dayton location, Beavercreek location, and Kettering location.
