Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a full-time Nortel Engineer to join their team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Telecom Engineer works with staff to ensure appropriate fundamental configuration, capacity planning and design, of voice communications systems.
  • The programming and maintenance of voice switches, voice mail systems, auto attendant systems, call management systems, and traffic monitoring systems.
  • Tech will perform equipment upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Works with vendors, customers, and third parties to evaluate, improve, and implement next-generation products.
  • Upgrading software, replacing and configuring CMDU drives, key codes, customer data base and related troubleshooting for these systems. 
  • Programming of agents and call flows. 
  • General Maintenance and troubleshooting.
Skills Required
  • Must have experience with Nortel Option 11, 61 , 81, CS1000
  • Must have experience with Meridan mail and Call Pilot from setting them up to replacing hard drives and loading them from scratch
  • Must be able to set up configure and troubleshoot IP Phones/ Trunks and Services on the Nortel Platform.
  • Preferred Certifications: Nortel (NCSS/NCDS/NCDE/NCSE)
