Job Description



RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Territory Manager will be responsible for all business activities as it relates to their respective accounts and personnel.   

 

Our sales force acts as consultants to our customers, and works with them long term to produce results for both our retailer and our company.  Our goal is to help our customers visually see what would be attractive to the store from a consumer’s eyes, and strategically place product and in-store marking programs where they will result in increased sales.

 

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding sales plan with targeted gross margins
  • Utilize all the corporate and divisional tools provided to achieve all aspects of the TM key metrics
  • Educating customers on category management trends and opportunities
  • Business reviews and long term growth strategy for key accounts
  • Building and developing customer profiles for specific account pricing strategies
  • Preparing annual sales forecast working with General Sales Manager
  • Active participation and involvement with sales meetings, conferences and trade shows
  • Works with Credit Department to assist in high-risk accounts.
  • Works with their team members to ensure all administrative roles are being handled properly.  (A/R, order writing, returns, etc.)
  • Achievement of goals set for Corporate and Divisional Marketing Programs.
  • Manage and train direct reports to ensure all job objectives are met and HR policies are adhered to.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

KEY ANNUAL METRICS
  • 10% Real Growth
  • 15% Non-Cigarette Growth
  • 30% % Fresh/Dairy/Bread growth YOY
  • > 20% PTNP net profit growth YOY
  • Non-cigarette NSI margin growth of 20 bp per year
  • Store Growth >15% Net New store growth YOY
  • Store Churn Rate < 5% annually
  • Selling Expenses as a % of NSI, shall not exceed 10%

 

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Reliable vehicle, current auto insurance and driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Own a computer and printer, be PC literate (email, word, excel, and power point)
  • Exceptional organizational skills including sound methods for follow up
  • Must possess a professional work attitude and image, and be able to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Style and culture perspective, candidate must be a mentor, passionate, results oriented, collaborative, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and provide a professional and positive attitude
  • Prefer degree in marketing or sales
