We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager that exhibits a broad-based knowledge of timely, accurate billing and collections per policy and procedure, improving cash flow, managing patient accounts, minimizing bad debt, and managing overall health of company’s receivables. They will monitor insurance company activities and consult with other internal departments as necessary. This position will report to and communicate frequently with the Controller, as well as the entire executive team.

Job Responsibilities of the Revenue Cycle Manager:

The following is intended to describe the major elements of the position and should not be taken as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals assigned to this position.

  • Organize and supervise reimbursement and collection programs to ensure maximum collection from government, commercial and private payers.
  • Arrange and oversee maintenance, review, updating, and collection of consumer accounts including posting, processing, and verification of receipts, credit claims, refunds, interest charges, or other similar records.
  • Approve with substantiation various transactions including refunds, ability-to-pay allowances, discounts and write-offs per business policy.
  • Establish policies and procedures for payment posting, adjustments and refunds; Monitor and control all anomalies and non-payment or delayed payment from payers.
  • Develop and manage the groups’ operating goals including the objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor billing processes to maintain processing accuracy and data integrity and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensure all contract rates are current in the EHR system.
  • Complete month end cash reconciliation and accounts receivable analysis and other related reports.
  • Compile and analyze reports as they relate to the revenue cycle as required by management.
  • Monitor, review and investigate customer account issues as necessary.
  • Interview, hire, and train your employees. This includes mentoring and supporting, assigning and directing work, and conducting regular team meetings.
  • Ability to manage and motivate your team to hit weekly, monthly, and yearly metric numbers. Carry out other supervisory responsibilities as necessary

Qualifications of the Revenue Cycle Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field.
  • Candidate must have strong managerial competencies in the area of leadership and team development, mentoring and assessment of skills to develop high performing teams.
  • Minimum of seven years’ experience as a Manager with a successful record of billing clean claims and consistent cash collections.
  • Must have the ability to compile and analyze reports for management.
  • Knowledge of laws and requirements related to Behavioral Health management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Act 62 legislation is preferred.
  • Strong background in financial management.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • CREDIBLE (EHR) experience preferred.
