Summary

Designs, develops, validates, implements and delivers technical training elements for the corporation using the most appropriate delivery method (typically asynchronous web-based applications); trains around software applications, process and procedures; designs, develops and produces supporting training material; and conducts thorough needs analysis to identify the objective and create a solution.

Essential Duties

  • Designs and develops of training materials and initiatives around software applications, processes, and procedures across all departments and divisions, working with all levels of management; and analyzes each project to determine if other delivery methods should be employed.
  • Conducts needs analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts on objectives and course content; and effectively and professionally communicates strategy, design, scope, and development time for each assignment.
  • Uses sound Instructional Design theory to create storyboards, scripts, course content (including traditional eLearning courseware, software simulations, and blended learning), job aides, learner guides, and student directions; and effectively communicates best practices to internal clients.
  • Serves as internal customer’s point of contact for the Learning + Performance Center, providing assistance to those who experience technical difficulties with the site to include those having trouble logging into system, administrator support, assisting users in locating appropriate content, and the like.



  • Uploads approved online content into Learning + Performance Center; updates materials; re-versions learning objects, and other revisions to ensure contents is up-to-date, organized and accurate.
  • Executes Train-the-Trainer pilot courses for new and enhanced curriculum and provides direction and strategies for delivery to ensure consistency and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Job Requirements


  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Instructional Design, Organization Development or related field.
  • Must have at least five (5) years training experience, with a significant amount of time spent developing online, technical training.
  • Design and software simulation development experience preferred.
  • Must have strong organizational and oral, written, interpersonal and influential communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter who takes initiative in finding solutions to difficult and unique problems/opportunities
  • Must have ability to multi-task and work at both strategic and tactical levels and with detailed and sensitive information
  • Must have the flexibility and adaptability to work with multiple projects and deadlines in a fast, fluid, and dynamic environment
  • Must be able to operate office equipment including a copy machine, fax, computer and all appropriate printers
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet.
  • Knowledge of Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Articulate, Captivate and/or Adobe Acrobat is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with web site development preferred
  • May be required to lift 10-20 lbs. of training materials or other documents.
  • Must be able to travel locally.
