Job Description

Are you an Insurance expert? Do you love resolving healthcare claims with payments? We have a job for you! We are a fast-growing third-party agency providing insurance follow up, pre-collections and bad debt collection services for Healthcare providers. We are seeking a motivated candidate with a strong Insurance background for our Insurance Manager position to run our Insurance billing and follow-up teams. Prior UB04 and HCFA1500 claim experience and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, basic coding rules, working with contracted payers and CHP+ required.

Duties:

1. Management of Insurance Billing and Follow-Up programs including management of staff and work-flow to ensure appropriate work efforts to resolve outstanding accounts.
2. Manages daily account flow; productivity; and work quality for Insurance Billing and Follow-Up programs.
3. Provides and/or coordinates training for Insurance Follow-Up Representatives in Insurance Billing and Follow-Up, coding and claim completion, HIPAA, and Client Specific processes.
4. Provides training for Insurance Follow-Up Representatives on appropriate work flow and follow-up process.
5. Audits work efforts on a regular basis to ensure work quality and compliance.
6. Tracks daily and monthly average Key Performance Indicators for Insurance staffs and reports to Management performance levels for each Insurance Representative and team.
7. Works cooperatively with other REL Managers to ensure inventory is worked in a timely and appropriate manner so as to maximize recoveries and we are reporting account resolution information to our clients.
8. Assists with escalated insurance claims and calls for representatives with payers.
9. Identify trends in billing and follow-up to identify ways in which our Clients can expedite resolution of insurance accounts and identify delays in processing caused by payers.
10. Participates in Client Payer meetings to discuss claims and payment trends.
11. Participates in Client Meetings and works to ensure we are adhering to Client work expectations and providing valuable inventory resolution data that supports our Client's goals with their revenue, account inventory and payers.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements

High School diploma and 1-3 years experience in Pre-Collections Operations and Management.  Some college or technical training preferred.  Advanced Beginner to Intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook email and EXCEL.  Strong communication skills.  Prior healthcare insurance billing and follow-up experience required.

Must have good customer service, phone skills, and knowledge of healthcare insurance billing and follow up. Clean compliance history and highly professional work history and approach. We do background checks! High School diploma and 1-3 years experience in Insurance Billing and Follow-Up and Management. Strong working knowledge of payers including Medicare and Medicaid and billing forms UB04 and HCFA 1500. Basic coding knowledge and understanding of timely filing and correct coding initiatives. Some college or technical training preferred. Advanced Beginner to Intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook email and EXCEL.
