Job Description


Project Engineer

The ideal candidate should have experience in aiding project management staff by coordinating design and construction field activities. Other requirements of the job include but are not limited to:
  • Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects
  • Plans and formulates management processes and organizes project staff according to project requirements
  • Reviews design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
  • Coordinates activities concerned with scheduling and resolving engineering design and construction problems
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

Project Engineer

Qualifications and Skills preferred:
  • Previous project management experience with structural projects is preferred
  • 4 year college degree in architecture, construction management or engineering science
  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience or equivalent
  • Planning and implementing projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timeliness, implementation strategies and measurement processes / methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with procedures and processes of a general contractor are a plus
