Job Description:

Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth with Canteen Vending Services as a Sr. Accountant.    


    • Financial Statements prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Accounting conforms to generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Balance sheet accounts reconciled monthly.
    • Ensure accounting follows contract terms.
    • Analyze income statement and balance sheet for possible misstatement.
    • General Journal entries preparation.
    • Accounts Payable function including processing, research, reviewing vendor statements, and new vendor setup.
    • Accounts Receivable function including invoicing, research, and collection of past due receivables.
    • Ensure Subcontract accounting is timely and accurate
    • Provide AD HOC reporting to assist in P&L review, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
    • Ad Hoc Corporate and Sector reporting.

    Job Requirements

    • Four-year Accounting degree required; CPA preferred.
    • Proficient knowledge of Excel.
    • Working knowledge of financial enterprise level systems.
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Five plus years accounting experience.
    • Ability to work flexible hours during certain weeks (close weeks).
    • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
