Job Description

Russell Stover is dedicated to making “Only the Finest" in boxed chocolates. Currently we are seeking a professional full-time Sales Representative with a willingness to take ownership for sales within a specified geographic territory based in Austin, TX. 

The boundaries of this territory range from Georgetown on the north to approximately Luling on the south, to El Dorado on the west and La Grange on the east.

Our ideal candidate will reside in the Austin area.


Summary of Job Responsibilities:


Manage a geographic territory calling on stores according to a set schedule to ensure objectives are achieved.

Provide sales, merchandising and service support to grocery, drug and mass merchant accounts within a specified territory. 

Responsible for selling and ordering additional Russell Stover product and displays at the store level securing full line distribution while striving to exceed established goals.

 

Develop good working relationship with store personnel and as well as other Russell Stover Candies associates.

 

Educate store personnel about Russell Stover products and programs.

 

Position, arrange and maintain inventory.

Clean, straighten, rotate, build and assemble fixtures/displays.

Job Requirements

2-3 years proven outside sales experience (consumer product sales strongly desired) or equivalent 4 year college degree.

Experience making effective sales presentations and using negotiation skills needed.

Good organizational and planning skills needed (to maintain a set schedule of accounts.)

Must be able to follow instructions, have keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.

Able to work well independently and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Experience carrying out merchandising objectives such as: maintaining distribution levels, shelf presence, displays, signage, filling back stock, developing cross merchandising and tie in opportunities as well as working with plan-o-grams to set/reset product (strongly preferred).

Able to climb, reach, bend, rotate, stoop, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.

Reside within the specified geographic territory, (ideally will live in the center of the territory).

Able to operate a motor vehicle.

Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record.

1-2 overnight stay per month is required.
