Registered Architect:

WT Resources is fast paced, quickly growing subcontractor on a large Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) contract.  We are currently searching for qualified candidates to fill several positions to support the Air Force on several tasks at JBSA-Lackland Air Force Base.  We are specifically searching for Registered Architects to support AFCEC in developing, executing, and enhancing the design and construction programs of its active workload, which includes approximately 600 Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization (FSRM), Dorms and Energy projects valued at $435 Million.  We are searching for specialized expertise to perform technical review and advisory/assistance for these design and construction programs and projects for a one year contract, which may lead to additional option years.  Duties of these Architects will include providing the following:

  • Technical input into project planning/programming including constructability review of technical requirements, period of performance validation, and generation of an independent government estimate
  • Technical and functional design review for Facilities Engineering Center of Excellence (FENCE)-managed projects
  • Acquisition support; assisting with preparing requirements documents (i.e. statements of work, performance work statements (non-A&AS), cost estimates, lists of project deliverables, etc.) for design and construction contract documents packages
  • Technical reach-back during construction
  • Technical support for warranty, claims, and litigation
  • Development and review of technical policy, standards, and guidance
  • Development and implementation of technical training
  • Site visits to advise and assist Government representatives in field investigations
  • Provide process improvement and communications planning
  • Project management technical advice and assistance in support of design and construction projects for AFCEC staff and AFCEC customers
  • Technical advisory and assistance support in the area of root cause analysis and engineering forensics.
  • Acquisition and execution strategy development

Job Requirements

Registered Architect:
  • BS Degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect
  • 10+ years of commercial / industrial facility design
  • Prefer experience and understanding of the Air Force design and construction policies, standards, and specifications to include Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization (FSRM) and MILCON programs
  • Must be US Citizen capable of obtaining DoD government security clearance
