Job Description


United Household Rentals (now known as UHR Rents) is a company that was

formed in 1986 by two entrepreneurs who had worked together in the Rental

Purchase industry for three years.  Together they developed the expertise to

jump-start and profitably operate stores in the rental business.  And in a short time

after opening, UHR Rents became wildly successful!

 

Today, UHR Rents is operating 10 furniture, appliance, and electronic rental store locations as well as 2 Rent N Roll wheel and tire stores and are still growing!

As the General Store Manager you will be responsible for:

*  Merchandising

*  Store Appearance

*  Customer Relations

*  Managing(3-7) number of employees

*  Responsible for new hires, training, and recruitment

*  Overall responsibilities for managing, reporting and profitably

operating store local

 

Qualifications:

*  2 years experience, retail industry a plus

*  2 years sales experience preferred

*  Excellent customer relations WE NEED PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO LOVE CUSTOMERS

*  Collections experience, a plus

*  Flexible, courteous and highly organized

*  Needs to help drive growth of store 20-50%

 

At UHR Rents, with our current compensation structure, you will have the

ability to double your compensation earnings in 2 years or less! There is no limit to the potential base pay as the more you drive revenues and profits the more you earn. 

Pay is commensurate to experience.


We share our profits through a very strong bonus program, matching 401K,

and offer benefits that are equally as strong!  We train hard from within.  Our

company size does not require the regimentation necessary to be successful at

Job Requirements

To be successful with our organization you must have an entrepreneurial spirit even if you are short of the cash to act upon your desires.

Be an individual in an island of stores that represent UHR Rents.  We are not looking for “By the Book Bob or Betty" at this company.  Sure we have procedure but we believe that book should be rewritten every so often.  Help us carve out our future.  Earn the kind of money you deserve.  There is no limit to the upside running one of our stores. 

A small company but an industry leader.  UHR Rents has been a loyal supporter of APRO (the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations & the only trade association of RTO) since 1987.  In addition we share organizational ties with T.R.I.B. (The Rental Industry Buying Group) since 1993 and O.R.D.A. (Ohio Rental Dealers Association) as a charter member since 1987. 

The President and C.E.O. of UHR Rents is Ernie Lewallen.  He has thirty plus years in the industry and knows it well.   Ernie served the RTO community as a director of APRO from 1993-2007, 2011-present.  He has chaired numerous committees in an attempt to lead his association by example.  He was appointed Chairman of the industries most powerful committee (Public Relations) in 1995.  There his committee sponsored the industries first ever Radio and Television campaign that promoted public awareness and good public relations to those who were uninformed of the values to be gained from renting.  His promotions won several National awards.  In 1998 he was elected as APRO’s 10th President and served as Chairman of the Board. 

In July 2013 he was named APRO'S 19th winner of the Ernie Talley Lifetime Achievement Award, the industry's highest honor.
