Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with accounting and business unit key members to define analytic requirements and needs to develop data collection techniques and analysis. An ideal candidate should be well organized and have a proven track record of tackling complex business questions, mining data, and generating business relevant insights that are communicated effectively. They should also have strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify and resolve data issues/needs.

Responsibilities of the position include working on budgets/ forecasts, and month end reviews which includes performing variance analysis and formal write-ups. Additional responsibilities include financial and business metric analysis / reporting, financial modelling (DCF, etc.), and working other projects and analyses as needed. The scope of this role will also include data collection from various systems, ad hoc analysis, reporting, and creation of executive level presentations to share progress of business health specifically within your business unit.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, other quantitative fields (MBA Preferred)
  • 3-5 years progressive financial analysis experience
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Must be comfortable with creating and maintaining complex financial models and developing business metrics
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience working in Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data across databases a plus.
  • Ability to use SQL code to extract, manipulate, and analyze data (ability to write code not necessary)
  • Experience creating and developing automated reports and dashboards
  • Comfortable sharing analysis insights and key findings to internal clients and executives
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify and resolve data issues/needs
