Summary:

We are looking for a very organized and customer focused Assistant Property Manager with strong administrative and customer service skills to skillfully assist in managing our beautiful and affordable market rate apartments in our 240 unit community.  Rosedale Estates is in a convenient area and boasts an outdoor pool, billiards room, work out room, community room.
 
Position includes: Managing of property and leasing duties, handle the majority of paperwork and computer programs, help vendors, work on resident satisfaction, and oversee caretakers.  The right candidate should be focused,  highly organized, efficient and have the ability to multi task. May inspect condition of premises periodically and arrange for necessary maintenance.  Must be customer service focused!


Principal Duties:



  • Managing all duties of a 240 unit property.
  • Lease apartments   
  • Enforce policy
  • Resident relations: ensure effective and respectful response to resident concerns; be available to residents.  
  • Understand the apartment application and rental process
  • Collaboration and service integration: attend internal and community meetings to ensure the property’s effective partnering with other organizational departments and the community at large.        
  • Ensure follow-up on house rule violations.
  • Provide guidance to property staff in emergency situations as needed.
  • Participate in emergency response coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Property Management and Property Manager.

Education and Experience:
Previous Administrative Assistant and Previous 2+ years experience in property management is a plus. 


College-level course work or MMHA coursework enabling incumbent to obtain job-related licenses or certificates is desirable.





Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:


Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform property inspections, drive a motor vehicle, lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. Must work emergency overtime as required. Must be willing to work out of doors in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to work with staff, residents and community members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to walk property for site inspections and apartment leasing.
