Job Description

Licensed Healthcare Communicator (RN)

Job Purpose:
Representing clients on a variety of medical or commercial projects via inbound/outbound telecommunication which may include:
o    Pre-screen potential volunteers for enrollment into clinical/medical research trials

o    Provide drug/medical device product information

o    Identify adverse events and product complaints as outlined by client guidelines

o    Conduct study compliance calls to volunteers enrolled in clinical/medical research trials

o    Enroll participants in educational seminars

o    Monitoring calls and providing feedback to outside call center personnel

o    Collect demographic data and disposition for product, sample and literature fulfillment

Job Requirements

Key Objectives:

o    Maintain excellent quality and productivity standards for all client programs; adhere to program scripts and guidelines

o    Accurately collect information required by individual programs and correctly capture in specific program databases

o    Complete and accurately document Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints as per client and federal guidelines

o    Exhibit effective communication and tele-management skills

o    Converse with callers in an empathetic manner and facilitate the callers in their ability to understand medical terminology, 
as needed

o    Display flexibility within department to maximize utilization, including performing administrative and non-telecommunication 
duties as needed

o    Adhere to all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures

o    Possess effective organizational skills, including working on multiple projects simultaneously

o    Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the 
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). 

Job Holder Specification:

o    Current US healthcare professional license: PA, NP, RN, LPN, R.Ph. or PharmD

o    Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

o    Competency with a computer keyboard and mouse

o    Pleasant telephone manner 


The jobholder is required to be located at Ashfield’s Headquarters, Ivyland, PA
