Working knowledge of hospital asepsis, microbiology, epidemiological, and infection control principles. At least three (3) years experience as an Infection Control Preventionist in an acute care hospital,
Strong organizational skills and attention to details. Demonstrated writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills. Work schedule flexibility. Project management skills; ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards, strong problem solving, and critical thinking. Self-motivated and practices good interpersonal relationship skills.
National Board Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, lab/health science, public health or equivalent.
Advanced training in epidemiological/infection control desirable.
