The Registered Ultrasound Technician will perform complete sonographer evaluations of pregnancies in the first, second, and third trimester.  Competence in both transabdominal and transvaginal approaches is required.  Thorough anatomic evaluation of the fetus in the second and third trimester including cardiac outflow tracts is required.  Ultrasound skills should encompass the ability to perform full anatomic assessment, biophysical profile, cervical length evaluation, and first trimester nuchal translucency screening.  Assisting with chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis will be necessary, but applicants without prior experience with CVS and amnio assistance are welcome. 


Nuchal Translucency Certification is required either at the time of starting the job or will need to be obtained within the first three months of employment.


This is a full-time position (5 weekdays, no nights / no weekends). There will be some travel to other offices in the Metroplex upon occasion.

Job Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications to be considered:

  • 1 or more years of experience in an OB/GYN or perinatal practice
  • Accredited Ultrasound School or Program Graduate (coursework must be complete)
  • RDMS Certification in OB/GYN
  • Experience in Windows based computer reporting systems
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment



  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound School of Program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certification in OB/GYN, with current continuing education credits
  • 2 or more years of related experience in a busy physician practice or hospital setting
