Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description


1. Responsible to work with other employees and supervise assigned beneficiaries.

2. Schedule and complete work repair orders as assigned by supervisor.

3. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs for equipment and building services.

4. Estimate labor, materials and costs of all work orders to determine their feasibility, best price and prepare P.O. for signature.

5. Follow up all work orders to ensure completion and notify supervisor.

6. Keep necessary records (i.e. mileage, work performed, etc) including key inventory, paint/carpet colors/codes, etc.
7. Must maintain a neat appearance, including clean clothing, clean-, neatly trimmed beard, hair trimmed neatly, shirttail tucked in and appropriate headgear.

8. In an emergency, must be willing to work overtime, or come in early as needed to complete repairs.

9. Overtime. Any and all overtime must have the written approval of the supervisor, Administrator, or his designate. His initials must appear on the time card beside the overtime hours.

10. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Production Manager, the Center Administrator or their designated representatives.

Job Requirements


• Experience with electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and heating equipment in industrial setting. General knowledge of building codes required in maintenance and repair of industrial facilities. Practical and varied experience in improvising repair and/or trouble shooting. Successful experience in handling and supervising personnel.

• Must be High School graduate or equivalent.

• Must possess valid driver’s license.

• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and HazMat preferred.

• Be able to communicate effectively.

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.


• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.

• Ability to operate a wireless phone or radio.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle

• Ability to lift up to 100lbs

• Ability to work in confined space

• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
