Technician “A”

RESPONSIBLE DIRECTLY FOR: All heating and A/C work.


  1. Check, clean, repair A/C units.
  2. Check, clean, repair furnaces.
  3. Check, clean, repair chillers.
  4. Check, clean, repair pumps.
  5. Check, clean, repair boilers.
  6. Change filters.
  7. Repair/replace motors.
  8. Track Freon usage.
  9. Required to be on call a week for one week at a time per rotation pattern.
  10. Required to do the work of an Operator "A" when not doing A/C, heating work. This includes but is not limited to preventative maintenance, installation, repairs and general troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, etc., in assigned areas.

Job Requirements

Technician “A"


  1. Experienced in A/C work.
  2. EPA certified. Be familiar with reclaimer.
  3. Good working knowledge of heating, A/C system.
  4. Good working knowledge of electrical systems, including AC, DC, three phase, NEC, conduct bending.
  5. Good working knowledge of plumbing.
  6. Must possess or obtain a valid class “B" valid driver’s license.
  7. Must provide proof of HVAC certification.
