Job Description

The Sales Engineer Role...   

Is a critical role that is responsible for providing top-notch technical pre-sales support for both direct and channel clients. Must be able to identify key security business issues through your interactions during the sales cycle to apply and differentiate company solutions. This position will also act as the technical lead on trials and proof of concepts with prospective customers. This company is experiencing tremendous growth, and this has created a large opportunity for new/potential customers. Relationships:

Internal:  Sales personnel, Service Manager, Internal Help Desk
External: Business decision makers, Receptionists, IT, and office personnel

Travel Requirements – 50-75%

This is a full time, permanent position.

  1. We offer a highly competitive salary with big commission opportunity. We also pay correctly for different markets.
  2. We offer relocation assistance to out of state candidates,  but this position doesn't have to be located in NM.
  3. We provide automobile expense reimbursement.
  4. There is a 3-6 month waiting on a company credit card (something we are reevaluating), so you would need to use your personal credit card and be reimbursed.
  5. This is all new business, so you are expected to build up your client base from scratch.

Qualifications:
.

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7-10 years experience in Cyber Security / 5-7+ years Technical Sales experience.
  • Startup experience.
  • Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Cyber Security and Operations Team Training.
  • Cyber Security concepts, vocabulary, methodologies and security software overview. Basic knowledge of cyber security industry and its facets.
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets and other regional objectives established by the Vice President of Sales.
  • Keen understanding of the Vulnerability market, solution providers and business issues associated with it. Knowledge or experience with companies such as: Qulys, Rapid7, Tenable, Nessus, GFI, Enzic, Accunetix, AlienVault and Risk IO will be a plus.
  • Compliance Training for the methodologies as well as overview for the various supported compliance documents. PCI/HIPAA/SOX/STIG/etc.
  • Experience creating and assisting in delivery of professional sales presentations.
  • Perform technical demos and presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
  • Be the technical expert on company product offerings during all phases of the sales process.
  • Understand customer pain points and actively engage them for technical needs.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse customer audience, including C-level executives and technical staff.
  • Strong learner and capable of coming up to speed quickly on technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple prospect calls, RFP/RFI's, SOW's, meetings, and any follow up items, ensuring a timely and professional response.
  • Problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action, engage relevant prospect/customer teams to design solutions using software product.
